Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A man is facing multiple charges after a woman was threatened with a knife during an incident in Chatham, according to the Chatham-Kent Police Service.
Police said officers responded at approximately 11:07 p.m. on April 14 to a disturbance on King Street East involving a weapon.
Through the investigation, officers learned that an 18-year-old female was threatened with a knife during an altercation inside a vehicle.
The victim was able to escape safely and later reported the incident to police, sustaining minor injuries.
A 23-year-old man from Chatham was arrested and charged with failing to comply with a probation order, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
He was transported to police headquarters and held for bail.
