Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 23-year-old Chatham man is facing multiple charges after an intimate partner violence investigation.
Chatham-Kent police say officers responded on April 18, 2026, at approximately 12:22 p.m. to a report of a man breaching court-ordered conditions at a residence.
Investigators allege the accused was at the home of a 24-year-old victim in violation of conditions prohibiting communication and association under two probation orders. Police say the investigation also determined the victim had been assaulted.
The accused was located inside the residence and arrested. The victim was transported to hospital for treatment.
The man was taken to police headquarters, where he was being held for bail.
