Traffic stop leads to impaired driving charges in Plympton-Wyoming

OPP officials allege: A 25-year-old individual is facing impaired driving charges following a traffic stop in Plympton-Wyoming.

Lambton County OPP officers were on general patrol April 25, 2026, just before 1 a.m., when they stopped a vehicle on Oil Heritage Road, south of London Line.

Police said the individual was arrested and charged under the Criminal Code and the Highway Traffic Act with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus) and novice driver – blood alcohol concentration above zero.

A 90-day administrative driver’s licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment were issued.

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Sarnia on June 15, 2026.
