Firefighters from Wheatley and Tilbury responded to a structure fire in Wheatley early Tuesday morning.
Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue said crews from Station 20 in Wheatley and Station 19 in Tilbury were called to a residential structure fire at 44 Erie St. N. at about 3:55 a.m. on May 26.
Officials said reports indicated a house was on fire.
A total of 24 firefighters responded to the scene and worked to bring the blaze under control.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Chatham-Kent Fire and Rescue Prevention Division.
Fire officials said more information will be released as it becomes available.
