Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 68-year-old Blenheim woman is facing impaired driving charges after police located an intoxicated person inside a vehicle on Lagoon Road in Erieau.
Chatham-Kent police said officers received a call at about 7:21 p.m. on May 30 from a woman who was unaware of her surroundings. Police located the woman inside a vehicle and, following an investigation, demanded a breath sample.
The woman was arrested and taken to police headquarters for further testing. Police said the testing revealed a blood-alcohol concentration above the legal limit.
She was charged with operation while impaired — alcohol and operation while impaired — blood alcohol concentration (80 Plus).
The woman was released with a court date of July 6, 2026.
