Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Two people were charged after police responded to an intimate partner violence disturbance in Chatham on June 6.
Police said officers were dispatched to an address at about 8:04 p.m. after witnesses reported that a man assaulted a woman. Investigators said the woman tried to hide from police and provided false identification after she was found inside the residence.
Police also determined that both people were subject to conditions prohibiting contact with each other. Investigators further alleged that the woman had assaulted and threatened to kill the man.
An 18-year-old Chatham-Kent woman is charged with failure to comply with an undertaking, obstruct police, facilitate breach of undertaking, assault and uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm.
A 26-year-old Chatham man is charged with failure to comply with an undertaking, facilitate breach of undertaking and assault.
Both were held for bail.
