Man turned over to CBSA on immigration warrant in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 37-year-old man was taken into custody by the Canada Border Services Agency after Chatham-Kent police responded to a disturbance in a business parking lot on Park Avenue East.

Police said officers were called to the scene at about 5:45 p.m. on June 9 and located the man, who was wanted on an outstanding immigration warrant. He was arrested and transported to police headquarters before being turned over to CBSA officers, who agreed to take custody of him.
