Chatham-Kent Health Alliance has appointed two new volunteer members to its board of directors and released its 2025-26 annual report following its annual meeting.
Chief Leela Thomas of Walpole Island First Nation and Amy Park, CPA, CA, C.Dir., joined the board during the meeting held June 18.
“We are pleased to welcome Chief Leela Thomas and Amy Park to our Board of Directors and look forward to working with them,” said Deb Crawford, chair of the CKHA board of directors. “Chief Thomas brings a wealth of leadership experience and a commitment to community advocacy, and Ms. Park offers exceptional expertise in financial stewardship, governance, and public-sector accountability. Together, their proven leadership credentials will strengthen our Board and support our continued focus on delivering high-quality care to the communities we serve. We look forward to their contributions and the valuable insight they will bring to our work.”
The terms of Stephanie Dries, Russ Weir and Angelo Ligori were renewed for three years.
Following the annual meeting, Deborah Crawford was appointed board chair, Russ Weir vice-chair, Adam Topp secretary and Aaron Ryan treasurer.
CKHA also released its 2025-26 annual report, outlining operational accomplishments and progress over the past year, along with the year-end report from its Patient and Family Advisory Committee.
CKHA operates as a 210-bed community hospital serving residents of Chatham and rural Kent through sites in Chatham and Wallaceburg.
