OPP officials allege: Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police are seeking the public’s help after a break-in and act of mischief at a wind turbine in Lambton Shores.
Police said officers responded shortly before midnight on July 3 to a report of a break-in at a wind turbine on Tomson Line near Rawlings Road.
Investigators determined an unknown person or persons forced entry into the turbine at about 11:30 p.m., causing damage to the entry door.
Police are working to identify those responsible.
The OPP is reminding the public that damaging or entering wind turbines can expose individuals to serious hazards, including electric shock, fire, severe injury and death.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Lambton County OPP or Crime Stoppers.
