Paul John Harrett, aged 66, brother to Lorne Harrett, Donna Cornelius (Wayne), Randy Harrett (Lynn) and his twin brother Peter Harrett (Debbie) and stepbrother to Shirley Carter (Laurie), Ron Kerr (Karen), and Nancy Drew (Dale).
Paul passed away suddenly from natural causes.
Paul was predeceased by his parents Don (2018) and Grace Harrett (1970) and his stepmother RoseMarie (2009) as well as his brother and sister-in-law Ron (2019) and Dianne Harrett (2019). Paul leaves behind 7 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and nephews.
Paul was blessed with the lifelong care from his sister Donna and her family. He was a longtime friend to Tom Thrope and his family. Paul was warmly supported by friends at First Baptist Church in Wallaceburg, especially Tim Main.
He was well-known among many friends at his apartment complex, where he was an avid card player. A passionate football fan, Paul loved wearing team jerseys to watch games. He also enjoyed volunteering at the Wallaceburg Museum for special events. The celebration of Paul’s life will be held at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg on Monday, July 13, 2026 at 12:30 PM with visiting in the hour and a half prior, from 11 AM to 12:30 PM. Interment in Dresden Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to First Baptist Church, Chatham-Kent Mental Health Association or the Wallaceburg Museum may be left at the funeral home 519.627.3231.
