Family dispute leads to charges
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday morning, police responded to a family dispute between a father and son at a residence in Chatham.
Through investigation, police learned that the teenager threatened his father during a verbal argument.
The 15-year-old teen was arrested and charged with uttering threats.
He was released to a family member pending a future court date of November 18, 2019.
Man charged with assault
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, police arrested a man in Wallaceburg in connection with a domestic disturbance that occurred earlier in the week.
The 19-year-old Wallaceburg man has been charged with assault.
He was released pending a future court date of November 20, 2019.
Man charged with drug possession
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Around 1:30 a.m. this morning, officers located a man in the area of Queen Street and Harvey Street who was wanted for domestic related assault and mischief under $5,000.
Upon being searched incident to arrest, the man was found to be in possession of crystal methamphetamine.
The 24-year-old Chatham man has been additionally charged with drug possession.
He has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Traffic enforcement
Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Yesterday afternoon, officers conducted speed enforcement on Talbot Trail in Wheatley.
Six tickets were issued to motorists for speeding and other Highway Traffic Act offences.
Another motorist was found to be driving a vehicle with plates not authorized.
The license plates were seized, the driver was charged and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
