Crime Prevention Week – Preventing Crime, Protecting People
Community safety and well-being is a shared responsibility.
As we celebrate Crime Prevention Week, we want citizens to think about how they can protect themselves from crime.
Crime Prevention involves all of us working together to make our homes, neighbourhoods and workplaces healthy and safe.
“When police work with their communities to stop crime in its tracks, we all win,” says Chief Gary Conn.
“We are proud that Ontario communities are among the safest in the world. But community safety and well-being takes hard work and collaboration. That’s why our Police Service is proud to partner with community groups, young people and businesses to prevent crime throughout our community.”
Today, members of our Traffic Unit will be working with RU Safe CK and promoting road safety during educational traffic stops.
