The Baseline Bridge, over the Sydenham River in Wallaceburg, will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic on Monday May 17, 2021 and Tuesday May 18, 2021 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. to commission and balance the bridge.
“There will be intermittent closures for the remainder of the week (ending Friday May 21) as the bridge will be operated throughout the day to continue work on the balancing and commissioning,” Municipal officials said in a media release.
“Small boats will continue to have access, however large boats requiring the bridge to be opened will not have access until further notice.”
Municipal officials added: “Please note that the dates and timelines mentioned above are weather dependent.”
