Vehicle leaves the roadway and enters the St. Clair River

Lambton OPP officials allege: On February 22, 2022 at 6:30 p.m., members of the Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were contacted regarding a vehicle that had left the roadway on St. Clair Parkway and entered the St. Clair River.

The lone occupant, a 24-year-old of Corunna, was able to exit the vehicle and was assessed by Lambton County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for minor injuries at the scene.

No charges have been laid at this time.

The OPP wants to remind motorists to be mindful of changing weather conditions, and to adjust driving accordingly.

Large amounts of melting snow can cause minor flooding on area roads.

Reduce vehicle speeds prior to entering any localized flooding on roadways, to avoid the possibility of hydroplaning or loss of control.
