Sarnia Police Service officials allege: On July 11, 2022, at approximately 1:30 p.m., a concerned citizen contacted the Sarnia Police Service having located what was believed to be a handgun in the area Exmouth Street and Capel Street.
Upon arrival the officer was able to determine that the handgun was chambered and loaded with 22 calibre ammunition, and contained an extended magazine to hold the ammunition.
The firearm was seized and an investigation has commenced in hope of determining where this gun came from.
We are asking anyone with information about this firearm to contact the Sarnia Police.
Also, if anyone has dashboard camera video or any surveillance video of the area involving the northwest corner of Capel Street and Exmouth Street between the hours of 8 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. on July 11, 2022, to also call the police.
