Man arrested for intimate partner violence

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 1:27 p.m., police responded to a dispute on Sudbury Drive in Chatham.

Police learned the victim returned home from doing errands when the man began an argument with her.

During the argument, the man called the woman names and shoved her twice before she contacted a friend.

The 35-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with two counts of assault.

He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a future court date of December 4, 2023.

Man arrested for intoxicated in public

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 11:02 p.m., police responded to the Blenheim Legion on Catherine Street in Blenheim for a disturbance.

Officers arrived and located a man who had been belligerent with the staff and asked to leave.

The man was highly intoxicated, uncooperative, and unable to care for himself.

The 49-year-old Blenheim man was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.

He was transported to police headquarters and held under he was sober.
