Well-being check leads to outstanding warrant being executed in Chatham

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 3:51 p.m., police responded to Victoria Avenue to conduct a well-being check on a man reported to be unwell.

Officers arrived and located the man sleeping on the steps of a business.

Officers confirmed the man was wanted on an outstanding warrant and arrested him.

The 54-year-old Chatham Kent man was released with a future court date of April 22, 2024.

He currently faces the following charges: two counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
