Two arrests made after a B&E

Sarnia Police Service officials allege: On July 9, 2025, at 10:10 p.m. the Sarnia Police Service were alerted by a homeowner of a Brock Street North residence, that is currently listed for sale, that the residence had been entered and it was believed that the individuals were still located within.

The homeowner was alerted by a real estate agent who discovered that someone appeared to be unlawfully occupying the home.

The Sarnia Police, Community Response Division, attended and located a male who had fled from the residence on foot.

A female party was located still within the residence.

The male was searched upon arrest and two stolen debit cards, one gram of fentanyl and two grams of crystal methamphetamine were in his possession.

The debit cards were stolen from a vehicle in that theft had been reported to Sarnia Police in May of 2025.

A 47 year old man of no fixed address is charged with the following offences:

– Break and Enter

– Mischief under $5000

– Possession of a debit card knowing that the card was obtained in the commission of an offence (2 counts)

– Possession of a Substance – Methamphetamine

– Possession of a Substance – Fentanyl

A 21-year-old woman of no fixed address is charged with the following offences

– Break and Enter

– Mischief under $5000

– Unlawfully in a Dwelling House

– Disobey Court Order

Both individuals were held by the Sarnia Police Service pending a bail hearing.

The man has since been remanded into custody.

The woman was subsequently released by the court on a release order with a court date of July 24th, 2025.
