Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A Chatham man is facing an impaired driving charge after a single-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon.
Police say the vehicle was seen travelling on the wrong side of Indian Creek Road before it left the roadway and struck a hydro pole just before 4:30 p.m.
Officers arrested the 62-year-old driver at the scene and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol.
He was taken to police headquarters and later released with a court date set for July 21.
