Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 27-year-old Chatham man is facing several charges following a domestic dispute reported to Chatham-Kent police on Monday afternoon.
Police say they responded to a call around 12:25 p.m. on Aug. 18 in Chatham, where officers determined multiple recent and historic incidents of abuse had occurred between the man and a 25-year-old woman.
Officers observed visible injuries on the complainant and property damage at the residence.
The man has been charged with four counts of assault, two counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, and one count of mischief under $5,000.
He was taken to Chatham-Kent Police Service headquarters, where he was held for a bail hearing.
