Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Chatham-Kent region, warning of strong winds expected Friday.
Forecasters say southwesterly gusts between 70 and 90 km/h could develop late Friday morning and continue into the evening as a low-pressure system tracks over northeastern Ontario.
The agency says wind warnings may be issued for some areas as the system approaches.
Residents are advised to monitor updates and alerts.
Environment Canada encourages the public to report severe weather via email at ONstorm@ec.gc.ca or on X using the hashtag #ONStorm.
