The Chatham-Kent Police Service issued a public advisory Wednesday afternoon about an increased police presence along the Thames River in the area of Poppe Road and Buchanan Line, Tilbury Township.
Police said there was no threat to public safety and residents were encouraged to continue with their usual activities.
The service thanked the public for its cooperation.
