Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 47-year-old Oil Springs man faces a charge under the Highway Traffic Act after attempting to flee from police on foot during a traffic stop in Chatham on Dec. 11.
Police say an officer attempted to stop a vehicle on Wellington Street West at about 10:19 p.m. when the driver ran from the scene.
He was found hiding in bushes nearby and arrested.
Investigators determined he was driving while under suspension.
A Part III summons was issued and the vehicle was towed.
