Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Chatham-Kent Police Service is investigating a single-vehicle collision that sent one person to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police responded to the crash on Communication Road, between Drury Line and Burk Line, at approximately 8:13 p.m. on Aug. 13.
Investigators determined the vehicle, driven by a 33-year-old Chatham man, lost control and left the roadway. Two other occupants were in the vehicle at the time, a 25-year-old Blenheim man and a 16-year-old Chatham girl. Both passengers were injured, with one sustaining life-threatening injuries.
The passengers were taken to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for treatment. The 16-year-old was later transferred to Victoria Hospital in London for further care.
Members of the Traffic Management Unit attended the scene and took over the investigation due to the severity of the crash. Communication Road was closed for several hours before reopening.
