Patsy (Aspassia) Lorantfy (Divitaris) entered her rest in the arms of Jesus her Saviour, on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at the age of 86, with her family singing hymns over her. She was surrounded by her family in the days preceding, which gave her much joy and happiness. Patsy was born in Macedonia (Greece) on May 2, 1940 to parents Peter (predeceased 2005) and Ellen (predeceased 1992) Divitaris. Patsy has one sister Menka Milanis (Tony) and a brother, George (predeceased 2002). She traveled to Canada at the age of 12, landing in Halifax, NS. The family then made their way to Chatham, Ontario where she met her husband, Paul Lorantfy, (predeceased 1983) who was an immigrant from Hungary. They were married on December 24, 1960 in Chatham. They settled in Wallaceburg, ON to raise their family. She was blessed to have two sons: John (Connie) and Chris (Terry-Lynn); 8 grandchildren: Keith (Kait), MaryLynne Brodimas (Jimi), Rebekah Cassidy (Zack), Nathan (Adaleah), Ben, Kaitlyn, Thomas (Hailey), Jessica and 9 great-grandchildren: Logan, Elliot, Rowan, Royal, Addison, Aubrey, Cyrus, Pearl and Grayson.
Patsy was employed with the harvest of various hand picked crops, worked in many different manufacturing facilities in the Wallaceburg area and was a caregiver to her father after the loss of her mother. She was kind and generous, helping her friends whenever the need arose. Her joy was her sons and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a constant fixture at every special occasion and loved to be with her family, always with a big smile and hand kisses. She will be missed by two nephews and a niece in Windsor, cousins in the Toronto area and the cherished friends, who came to know her and love her. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation at First Baptist Church, 99 Thomas Avenue, Wallaceburg, ON N8A 5C8, from 11:30 am until the time of her funeral at 12:30 pm.
