With heavy hearts we announce that John Allan MacDonald passed away surrounded by family at his home on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at the age of 61. John will be remembered as a loving son to Dorothy (Langstaff) and the late D. Brian (2009) MacDonald and a beloved brother of J. Andrew (Suella) and Jeremy E. (Erin) MacDonald. Cherished uncle to Anthony J., Madeline A and Jacqueline K.
Loving grandson of the late Don and Kathleen MacDonald and the late Lloyd and Marion Langstaff. He will be fondly remembered by his aunts and uncles; Alan (Joan) MacDonald, Linda Rolls, Brian (the late Alice) Langstaff, Marie (the late David) Plank, Bruce and Cathy Langstaff as well as by his many cousins and extended family. He will be especially missed by his friends Janet Fenemore, Marg Sheffer as well as by his many co-workers throughout his years working at McGrail Farm Equipment, now known as Huron Tractor, John Deere Farm Equipment in Chatham.
John’s family would like to sincerely thank all those who provided support and care in so many different ways during his journey.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg (519-627-3231). Following Fall Harvest a Celebration of Life will be held to honour John (will be updated here).
