Wallaceburg’s Jonah Pataki scored a TD in the Queen’s Gaels opening game of the Ontario University Athletic (OUA) football season against the Wilfred Laurier Golden Hawks on Sunday.
Pataki, now in his 4th year at the Kingston school, scampered from 2-yards out in the second quarter, marking the Gael’s first points of the season.
In the end, it was Laurier coming out on top in the game by a score of 37-18.
Pataki led Queen’s in rushing, with 46 yards gained on 15 carries, including the one TD.
The Wallaceburg District Secondary School graduate also caught two passes for a total of 14 yards.
Queen’s will travel to Guelph in their next game on September 10.
