Lambton OPP investigating fail-to-remain crash

Police are investigating after a pick-up truck took from the scene of a head-on crash in Lambton County.

OPP officials say on September 2, 2016 at approximately 7:15 a.m. members of the Lambton Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended the area of Confederation Line east of Forest Road, Warwick Township to investigate a head-on collision between a full sized pick- up truck and a small passenger car.

Investigation revealed that the pick- up truck had been west bound on Confederation Line when it left the west bound lane, entered the east bound lane striking a purple Pontiac G6.

Immediately after the collision the pick-up truck fled the scene west bound on Confederation Line.

The driver of the Pontiac was taken to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Confederation Line has been re- opened for vehicular traffic.

The OPP is seeking community assistance in identifying the pick- up truck and its driver.

The pick- up truck is described as full- sized, dark in colour and will have extensive damage to the front-end.

The gender of the driver is unknown.

At this this time the OPP have no other descriptors of the suspect driver or the pick-up truck.
