A three-bag limit is now in effect for garbage collected across the Municipality.
The changes stem from the service review conducted in 2013, when council approved the implementation of a three bag limit as part of the new curbside waste collection program.
“In order to comply with the new limit we are encouraging you to recycle as much as possible and use the larger municipal recycling boxes designed for the current 2-stream curbside recycling program,” the municipal website states.
“All residential properties will have a three bag/item limit per week. All institutional, commercial or industrial properties (including condominiums and multi-residential properties with six or more dwelling units), shall not exceed 2.0 cubic metres or 24 bags and/or items per week.”
