Chris Clements was on the wrong end of a unanimous decision at UFC 186.

Nordine Taleb was victorious over the Dresden native, winning all three rounds on each of the judges scorecards at the Bell Centre in Montreal.

“I didn’t get the win tonight but I’ll be back,” wrote Clements on social media following the fight.

Clements thanked his coaches and training partners as well.

An article on MMA Junkie stated that “Clements refused to go gently, but he simply couldn’t find an answer for Taleb’s takedowns and top control. Over and over again he found himself hauled down by double-legs and trips.”

Clements’ record falls to 12-6 overall and to 2-2 in the UFC.

Clements was called in on short notice to battle Taleb in the welterweight bout, after Claudio Silva suffered a broken foot.

Chatham’s Chad Laprise won a decision in his bout with Bryan Barberena.

Laprise remains undefeated with a record of 10-0 overall and 3-0 in the UFC.
