A former Wallaceburg councillor is the new chair of Wallaceburg’s hospital.
Following the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on June 25, the newly constituted Sydenham District Hospital Board of Directors held a meeting to complete the election of officers.
The new board is as follows:
– Herb John
– George Lung
– Kris Lee
– Sheldon Parsons, Chair
– Conrad Noel, Vice Chair
The following are members of the Board in an ex-officio capacity by virtue of their offices:
– Dr. Ranjith Chandrasena, Chief of Medical Staff
– Willi Kirenko, Vice President, Chief Nursing Executive
– Colin Patey, President & CEO, Board Secretary
The five volunteer directors were elected by the membership at its AGM.

At this time, the SDH Board of Directors will remain a separate entity while Public General and St. Joseph’s proceed to a voluntary integration.
To support its governance renewal process, CKHA’s Boards of Directors put in place protocols to support a distinct yet collaborative process to ensure continued support for the operations of both of CKHA’s Campuses.
