The Wallaceburg Lakers Atom TC2 team had an amazing, season going undefeated all year.
Enroute to the league championship, the team compiled a 33-0-2 record, with two tie games in the playoffs.
The final game was against Wallaceburg TC1, as both teams beat out all other Local League teams to play against each other.
TC2 took it in two games, but not without a fight.
In Game 2, TC2 scored with 56 seconds left making it a 4-3 game.
However the TC1 team had a six-on-three advantage in the dying seconds and scored to tie the game with eight seconds left.
TC2 ended up prevailing in a shootout.
Overall the TC2 team had a whopping 233 goals scored this year, with 52 goals against.
Carter Vanderzwart posted five shutouts as the team’s goalie, and finished with a sparkling 1.57 goals against average.
The full team roster included: Gavin Rose, Brody Falconer, Garrett Vandendool, Brayden Burm, Zander Mills, Jozh Whiteye, Cayden Whiteye, Carson and Carter Vanderzwart, Carter Barnes, Luke Toulouse and Brie Sands.
