The OPP have identified the girl who was killed after being struck by a vehicle on Moraviantown First Nation this past weekend.
Police officials say on November 19, the Chatham-Kent OPP responded to a motor vehicle collision on Moraviantown First Nation at around 1:40 a.m.
Preliminary investigation reveals a black Chrysler 300 had turned south onto Centre Street when the vehicle struck three pedestrians who were walking on the road.
As a result of the collision, Bailey Jacobs, 16-years-old of Moraviantown First Nation has succumbed to her injuries.
Jordi Whiteye, 17-years-old of Moraviantown First Nation suffered minor injuries and has been released from hospital.
Tanner Whiteye, 24-years-old of Moraviantown First Nation has been transferred to a London Hospital and is listed in critical condition.
The driver of the motor vehicle, a 21-year-old male from Moraviantown First Nation was not injured.
OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI) attended the scene to assist with the investigation.
This incident remains under investigation by the Chatham-Kent OPP, in partnership with Moravian Police.
Police are seeking anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or was in the area at the time.
