Sydenham Current turns 3

It was three years ago today that the Sydenham Current first went LIVE at sydenhamcurrent.ca and started providing news coverage for the Wallaceburg, Dresden, Walpole Island and Mitchell’s Bay area.

Dana, Tami and I are incredibly honoured and thankful for the support we have received from the community in these three years.

Having the local business community supporting us has allowed us to do what we love to do and provide this service to the community.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Let’s take a look at what stories were in the headlines on our first day of operation:

paper names

Remember when we were choosing the name for our online newspaper?

Here is a graphic we shared on social media.

I really couldn’t imagine not being the Sydenham Current, but it wasn’t the front runner right away.

Here is a story about how the name came to be: Welcome to the Sydenham Current
