Western Ontario Outlaws – Extreme Lawnmower Racing

– Western Ontario Outlaws Lawn Tractor Racing was established in the fall of 2006 as a family friendly activity. There’s no prize money in the sport, called the ‘poor man’s NASCAR’, and machines can reach 160 km/h with engines having from 8 to 90 horsepower and costing from $500 to $5,000 to build depending on the racing class. Each year the club financially sponsors a charity of their choice and for the past three years this has been the Petrolia Food Bank. The club provides a lawn tractor racing venue
at its track in Petrolia as well as at fairs and special events in addition to the ten regular Sunday afternoon events at the home track.
