It’s Throwback Thursday once again!

Above is an old photograph of the Mitchell’s Bay pier in the 50’s. Below is more information from the Mitchell’s Bay Ontario—-Now Facebook group.

“This is what the pier area looked like in the 50’s with my dad’s bait shanty and boat rentals. Behind is Parkside boats. The native fishermen from Walpole Island loaded tons of carp here. They were purchased by Juvenville Fisheries and shipped to Toronto, Montreal and New York. Local commercial fishermen also sold their catches of pan fish from here to that buyer. This picture is displayed at Parkside in Mitchell’s Bay along with a full description.”

Thanks to Bill Urquhart‎ for the photograph!
