Freezing rain possible, wind gusting to 60 km/h, temperature steady at 2°C

Special weather statement

Brief freezing rain possible this afternoon or early this evening.

Precipitation, mostly in the form of rain, will move into extreme Southwestern Ontario early this afternoon. Rain may be briefly mixed with ice pellets or snow initially, before becoming mixed with freezing rain. The mix of freezing rain and rain will transition to rain later this afternoon or early this evening.

This precipitation is associated with a low pressure system moving north from Texas which will track near the south shore of Lake Erie tonight.

At this point, the freezing rain is expected to be brief and patchy. However, freezing rain warnings may be needed if the freezing rain looks to become longer lasting and more wide spread.
