COVID-19 vaccine set to be administered at Fairfield Park in Wallaceburg

The COVID-19 vaccine is set to be administered at Fairfield Park in Wallaceburg on Saturday, February 13, 2021.

“Our number of resolved cases continues to go up and Public Health has confirmed that our total number of active COVID-19 cases has fallen to 15 among our residents and 27 among our staff,” Fairfield Park officials said on an update on their website late Friday.

“We are excited to share that the first dose of the Moderna vaccine will be administered to residents who are negative for COVID-19 (Saturday) afternoon at 3 p.m. We have reached out to families directly with more information on this process, but do not hesitate to contact the home if you have any questions. Additionally, our next round of surveillance testing will take place on Monday, February 15.”

Fairfield Park officials added: “A friendly reminder that families can now book a virtual visit over facetime or skype on our website (fairfieldpark.ca). To book, you will need to follow the link “book now @appointlet” on our home page. As of Friday, CK Public Health officials say a total of 98 positive COVID-19 cases have been linked to the outbreak, which was first declared on January 10, 2021.
