The DeBurger Family and the McKay Family announce the passing of their father Peter Lloyd DeBurger age 96.
He was born in Holland son of the late Peter & Marie DeBurger.
He was predeceased by two loving wives: Dorothy (Wilson) DeBurger in 1982 and Catherine (McKay) DeBurger in 2016.
He is lovingly remembered by: DeBurger Family: Tom and Linda, grandchildren: Kevin (Erika), Chris; great granddaughter Brittany (Matt), great great granddaughter Addy and the McKay Family: Brian McKay (late Anne 2020), Robin and Maureen McKay; grandchildren: Kelly (Mark), Laura (Steve), Christopher (Shayna), Lisa (Chris); great grandchildren: Hannah, Ethan, Julia, Adam, Brendan, Rebecca, Adelyn, David, Iain, Olivia, Catherine (Kate).
Peter is survived by his brother Leo DeBurger (late Emily); predeceased by three sisters: Annie Rabideau (Clifford), Margaret Peterkin (Mickey), Alice Lauzon (Andre).
He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In one word, Peter was a “gentleman”.
His work defined who Peter was.
He was a hard working, dedicated man, who gave 110 % to every task.
Friends wishing to pay their respects to Peter are invited to call the funeral home in advance to reserve a time on Friday February 19th, 2021 with visiting from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, you must schedule your visitation time in advance.
All attendees as mandated by the Bereavement Authority of Ontario must wear a mask at all visitations and funerals.
The funeral service for Peter will be streamed live from the funeral home on Saturday February 20th, 2021, at 1 pm with Rev. Dr. Justin Comber officiating.
