Wallaceburg Museum Re-opens This Tuesday March 30th

We are thrilled to welcome guests back to the Wallaceburg Museum beginning Tuesday March 30, 2021. At this time we will be open By Appointment Only. We ask our guests to call 519-627-8962 at least 24 hours ahead to schedule an appointment.

Our new hours are: Tuesday 1 PM – 4 PM; Wednesday 10 AM – 4PM; Thursday 10 AM– 4PM; Friday 10 AM – 4 PM; and Saturday: 1PM – 4PM. For a special limited time, we will be extending our Thursday hours to 8 PM, with Free Admission after 4 PM (the first three Thursdays after re-opening, April 1, 8, & 15).

Those with a current Museum Membership will have access on Tuesdays and Saturdays from 10:00 AM– 12 noon. This special time slot is reserved exclusively for members. Proof of membership will be required at the time of booking.

In addition to sanitizing the entire building, our volunteers and staff have been hard at work at creating new displays and updating existing ones (stay tuned for more information). We are also excited to announce our Art Gallery will feature a new exhibit by local artist Jim Mulgrew for re-opening. And we didn’t forget the kids – we’ve created an all-new Artifact Scavenger Hunt!

Due to COVID-19, we have made changes to how we do things including requiring contact information, a self-assessment questionnaire, masks, and social distancing inside the museum. The frequency of cleaning and sanitization has also increased. We encourage everyone to call the museum or check our website (www.wallaceburgmuseum.ca) for more details on all our COVID-19 related protocols. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
