Fatal crash near Louisville, impaired driving causing death charge laid

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: Shortly after midnight, emergency crews responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Longwoods Road, west of Louisville.

As a result of the collision, the 19-year-old passenger was pronounced deceased on-scene.

The driver was transported to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with minor injuries.

Through investigation, police believed the driver had been drinking, and she was subsequently arrested for impaired operation causing death.

Members of the Chatham-Kent Police Service offer their deepest condolences to the family and friends of the victim.
