Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On December 24, 2021 shortly after 10:30 a.m. the Chatham-Kent Police Service responded to a report of a body located in McGregor Creek, in the city of Chatham.
Upon arrival, and with the assistance of the Chatham-Kent Fire Department, the body was removed and the deceased was identified as Dakota Gross, who was previously reported missing.
Next of Kin have been notified and the Chatham-Kent Police Service offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Dakota Gross.
The Chatham-Kent Police and Dakota’s family would thank the public for their assistance and information throughout this matter.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service continues to work the Coroner’s Office, however, at this time his death is not believed to be suspicious.
