She was a committed member of Our Lady Help of Christians Church and a member of the Catholic Women’s League for 50 plus years. Member of the traditional choir for many years and active member of the Ladies’ Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus. Lea was a creative woman with many talents and gifts. She spent her life raising her family and loved nothing better than spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She covered us with her quilts, her blankets and her prayers. Once her family was raised, she volunteered countless hours including visiting at the nursing home, with meals on wheels and crocheting blankets to be sent to babies in need around the globe.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the wonderful staff at the Oaks Retirement Village where Lea was one of their first residents and made her home for the last 7.5 years. We would also like to express our gratitude to Dr. Will Saxena for his compassionate, excellent care of our mother for the past 11 years.
