Cocaine, fentanyl and crystal meth seized in Sarnia

Sarnia Police Service officials allege: A 25-year-old Petrolia man and a 39-year-old Dresden woman have been arrested on drug offences.

The Sarnia Police Vice Unit entered into a drug investigation involving the trafficking of cocaine, fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine.

On June 8, 2022 members of the Sarnia Police Vice Unit were conducting surveillance which resulted in a traffic stop conducted by a member of the uniform patrol. The two occupants were arrested and a search of the vehicle was conducted.

The following items were located:

– $1,515 total Canadian currency

– Two cellphones

– Functioning digital scale

– Four large dime bags

The two occupants were transported to Sarnia Police Headquarters where they were searched and the following items were located:

– 29.3 grams of blue and purple fentanyl

– 9.5 grams of blue fentanyl

– 19.22 grams of cocaine

– 6.52 grams of crystal methamphetamine

As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old Petrolia man and a 39-year-old Dresden woman were jointly charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, fentanyl and crystal methamphetamine.

The man was additionally charged with two counts of breaching his release order.

On June 9, 2022 a Controlled Drug and Substance Act warrant was executed at a residence on Petrolia Line. Several items were seized including a functioning digital scale, .92 grams of crack cocaine, packaging material, firearms ammunition and 3.88 grams of crystal methamphetamine.

Both parties have been held in custody pending a future court appearance.
