CKHA Foundation launches Spring Igniting Healthcare 50/50 Fundraiser

The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation’s (CKHAF) Igniting Healthcare 50/50 Fundraiser is back again, with more prizes to be won than ever before.

The Foundation’s first ever Spring 50/50 launched on Tuesday, April 2, with one lucky winner set to take home the grand prize jackpot on Friday, May 3.

Proceeds from the Spring 50/50 will be designated towards the Highest Priority Needs at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance (CKHA), allowing the Foundation to continue to make crucial investments in life-changing equipment and facility upgrades in our local hospital sites.

“In our current healthcare landscape, the greatest needs and priorities of our hospital are always changing, which makes it so important for our Foundation to remain responsive and adaptable in our commitment to meet these evolving needs,” said Christine Mitchell, CKHAF President & CEO, in a media release.

“Thanks to you, our community, these 50/50 campaigns have had such a profound impact on our hospital over the past five years, and we are so excited to kick off our first lottery of 2024 to see just how much of a difference we can make together this year!”

In addition to the grand prize jackpot, four great Early Bird prizes will be awarded every Friday throughout the campaign, each of which has been generously provided by local businesses.

– Friday, April 5 – Chilly Moose Cooler (valued at $649.99), generously provided by Schinkels’ Gourmet Meats.

– Friday, April 12 – $1,000 prize, generously provided by Lambton Conveyor Ltd.

– Friday, April 19 – $1,000 prize, generously provided by Chorley & Bisset Ltd.

– Friday, April 26 – $1,000 prize, generously provided by the Glasshouse Nursery & Garden Centre

In person ticket sales will also be available at the CKHAF office (9 Ursuline Ave, Chatham), Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

“We love this 50/50 because it gives us a chance to give back to some of the amazing people who support our Foundation each year, and nothing makes us happier than surprising someone with a great big cheque,” Mitchell stated. “And since we all rely on the services that our hospital provides, when you purchase a ticket for this fundraiser, we all end up winning. That’s what really matters.”

Community members are encouraged to follow Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation (@ckhafoundation) on Facebook, Instagram, and X for campaign updates.

Tickets can only be purchased by Ontario residents over 18 years of age.
