Trespassing investigation in Wallaceburg leads to outstanding theft of vehicle charges

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 3:36 p.m. the police responded to Gillard Street in Wallaceburg for a trespass to property investigation.

Upon arrival, officers located the man and confirmed he was wanted on an outstanding warrant in relation to a 2022 recovered stolen vehicle investigation.

The 40-year-old Walpole Island man was arrested and transported to police headquarters, where he was held pending a bail hearing.

He is currently facing the following charges: possession of stolen property.
