Door damaged and chair stolen during a B&E in Tilbury, arrest made

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: At 9:43 p.m., the man attended Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and turned himself in to the police.

The man was wanted for a July 10, 2024, break-and-enter investigation that occurred at a Queen Street South business in Tilbury.

During the incident a door was damaged, and a chair was stolen.

The 49-year-old Belle River man was arrested and released with conditions and a future court date of August 12, 2024.

He was charged with break-and-enter and possession of stolen property.

The chair was returned.
