Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: On May 8, 2025, at about 6:47 p.m., Chatham-Kent police responded to a single-vehicle collision involving a motorcyclist who had lost control and fallen onto the gravel shoulder of the roadway.
The rider, a 45-year-old man from Thamesville, was not injured.
However, officers determined he had been operating the motorcycle while under the influence of alcohol.
He was arrested for impaired driving and taken to Chatham-Kent Police Headquarters for breath testing.
The man was released unconditionally and issued a three-day licence suspension.
Police are reminding all motorists that impaired driving is a serious offence that endangers everyone on the road and urging people to plan for a safe way home.
