Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 21-year-old Camden Township man is facing impaired driving charges following a late-night traffic stop on October 17.
At approximately 10:31 p.m., Chatham-Kent Police officers observed a vehicle travelling dangerously, using a turn lane to go through the intersection at Grand Avenue and St. Clair Street. Officers stopped the vehicle near James Street and Victoria Avenue, where the driver showed signs of impairment.
He was arrested and taken to police headquarters for testing, which he failed. The man was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 milligrams.
He was later released with a court date of November 4, 2025.
