Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A 51-year-old Windsor woman faces multiple charges after refusing to identify herself during a traffic stop on Queen Street early Sunday morning.
Around 7:20 a.m. on October 19, 2025, officers stopped a vehicle travelling without a working headlight. Police say the driver refused to provide her name or licence and attempted to conceal her identity by using items inside the vehicle to block the officers’ view.
After several requests, the woman was removed from the vehicle and resisted arrest. She was charged with driving without proper headlights, failing to identify herself, obstructing a peace officer, and resisting a peace officer.
Police also discovered her driver’s licence had been suspended, resulting in an additional charge of driving while under suspension.
She was taken to Chatham-Kent Police headquarters and later released with a court date of November 26, 2025.
