Wallaceburg man charged after domestic disturbance involving weapon

Chatham-Kent Police Service officials allege: A Wallaceburg man has been charged after a disturbance in a parking lot that involved a weapon and a child inside a vehicle.

Police were called to Wallace Street in Wallaceburg on November 17 at 6:55 p.m. for a report of a male and female involved in a verbal and physical altercation near a vehicle.

Investigators say the accused, a 21-year-old Wallaceburg man, threw a beer can toward a 19-year-old woman from Walpole Island. A child inside the vehicle was affected by the confrontation.

Officers located the child, who was assessed and found unharmed. The man was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon. He was transported to police headquarters and released with conditions and a court date of December 29, 2025.
